Faculty & Staff Funding Resources

If you’re in search of funding, you’re in the right place.

In addition to seeking out opportunities to fund key university priorities, our office manages a portfolio of leading corporations and foundations that support higher education. Our team provides:

  • Insight into the latest funding trends and existing relationships with external partners.
  • Feedback on research and project ideas.
  • Assists with the development and submission of applications.
  • Helps you navigate University policies and procedures.

Levels of support

We provide support for all charitable support applications to corporations, foundations, and non-profit organizations. Levels of support provided are based on the scope of the project and the amount of funding requested.

We strongly encourage faculty and staff to contact us before applying to any corporations or foundations for funding. Our expertise increases your chances of securing funding and enables us to coordinate efforts across the University.

We have created a helpful resource that will guide you through the proposal development process. It includes best practices, tips, and questions to consider for your proposal or respond to a foundation RFP.

Most applications require a set of institutional documentation. To ensure the most current and approved information is shared with funders, please contact the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Items include but are not limited to:

  • Annual operating budget
  • Audited financial statements
  • IRS tax-exemption letter
  • W-9
  • NAU Foundation Board of Directors
