Even though FERPA protects students’ education records, some student information, called directory information, is available to the public.<\/p>\n
Directory information<\/strong> is any publicly accessible information, including<\/strong> a student’s:<\/p>\n These categories are considered to be public information unless the student has indicated that some or all of this information may not be shared.\u00a0 FERPA permits NAU to share the directory information when requested by a third party, unless the student has chosen to opt out of NAU sharing such information. NAU does not disclose individual addresses as directory information, but we reserve the right to send postal mail for official university business to any listed address(es), on or off campus.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
