Now we’ll look at the privacy issue<\/h1>\n

Under FERPA, universities are obligated to protect the confidentiality of student information. \u00a0Every single employee at NAU – faculty and<\/strong>\u00a0staff, from student assistants on up to the President – has a legal responsibility to preserve student privacy.<\/p>\n

That’s a big responsibility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To help you understand the rights of students and your personal obligation to it, we’ve prepared a self-paced tutorial. \u00a0Completing this exercise will provide you with the knowledge you need to administer student information securely.<\/p>\n
