Suppressed directory information

NAU students have the option to suppress all or part of their directory information online via their LOUIE account.  Students who opt to suppress their directory information could be doing so because of a serious situation.  It is critical to protect these students’ privacy in every way.

You will know a student has suppressed all or part of their directory information when you see the “window shade” /assets/0/115/6442451633/6442451634/6442452550/81b5cb28-14c4-4a8d-882a-f90310c9f02f.jpg icon near their name in LOUIE.

Before sharing any student directory information, employees must always check within LOUIE to see if a student has suppressed their directory information.

When a student makes all or part of their directory information confidential, they may be excluded from official university and departmental publications including (but not limited to):

  • Online directory
  • Printed directory
  • Printed Dean’s list
  • Commencement program
