Northern Arizona University is committed to the preservation of pre-historic and historic properties, which includes sites, buildings, structures and objects.<\/p>\n

There are currently eight buildings on the Flagstaff Campus listed on the National Register of Historic Places<\/a> located in the Northern Arizona Normal School Historic District:<\/p>\n

Old Main, 1894<\/li>\n

Morton Hall, 1914<\/li>\n

Campbell, 1916<\/li>\n

Ashurst, 1918<\/li>\n

Blome, 1919<\/li>\n

Riles, 1926<\/li>\n

Gammage, 1930<\/li>\n

North Hall, 1935<\/li>\n

South Beaver School, 1935<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Additional Buildings on the Flagstaff campus may be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n

Age:<\/strong> Over 50 years old, or of “exceptional significance” less than 50 years old.<\/li>\n
Historical Significance:<\/strong> Association with events, people, designs, or architects of significance.<\/li>\n
Integrity:<\/strong> The ability of a property to convey its significance through location, design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling, and association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nNational Register Eligible Properties are treated in accordance with the requirements of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation through review and concurrence by the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office<\/a> (SHPO).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n\n
