Charn\u2019s research, focused primarily on interpersonal mistreatment, political skill, and workplace stress, has been published in multiple outlets, including\u00a0<em>Harvard Business Review, MIT\u2019s Sloan Management Review,\u00a0<\/em>and the<em>\u00a0Journal of Business Ethics\u00a0<\/em>among others.\u00a0Before beginning his academic career, Charn flew the Kiowa Warrior scout reconnaissance helicopter and commanded two Air Cavalry Troops both in and out of combat. He served as the liaison to the Iraqi Air Force and coordinated the first joint helicopter flight over Baghdad between U.S. and Iraqi forces.\u00a0Charn completed his military service at the rank of captain; his military awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and Air Medal.
