In addition to discipline-specific activities which can be found on their particular topic pages, we host the following programs throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Philosophy, Politics, and Law.<\/strong>\u00a0 As part of the Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Law, the NAU Philosophy Department offers several ethics-focused seminars throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Philosophy in the Public Interest (PPI).<\/strong> For nearly a decade, NAU&#8217;s PPI program has partnered with local business and community leaders in Flagstaff and Sedona to host salons on a variety of ethics-related topics called <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/philosophy\/affiliate-programs\/philosophy-in-the-public-interest\/\">Hot Topics Cafe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<!-- shortcode-accordion -->\n<div class=\"shortcode-accordion shortcode-accordion--closed\" style=\"position: relative;\" >\n        <a class=\"shortcode-accordion__trigger\" data-header=\"Leadership Ethics Articles_0\" href=\"#\">\n      <div class=\"shortcode-accordion__header\">\n          <h4>Leadership Ethics Articles <span class=\"screen-reader-text\">Accordion Closed<\/span><\/h4>\n          <span class=\"shortcode-accordion__header__arrow\"><\/span>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/a>\n    <div class=\"shortcode-accordion__body\">\n        <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><body>\n<p>Professor George Rudebusch recently published an article entitled&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.academia.edu\/45135812\/Socrates\">Socrates<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>in Philosopher&rsquo;s Magazine in 2021. An interesting discussion of ethics from an international perspective can be found in his 2013 article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.academia.edu\/5381143\/Reconsidering_ren_%E4%BB%81_as_virtue_and_benevolence\"><em>Reconsidering Ren &#20161; as Virtue and Benevolence<\/em><\/a> in the Journal of Chinese Philosophy.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor Luke Maring recently published an article in The Journal of Value Inquiry entitled&nbsp;<em>Beyond Agent&#8209;Regret: Another Attitude for Non&#8209;Culpable Failure.&nbsp;<\/em>That article can be found at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/242\/2022\/02\/Beyond-Agent-Regret.pdf\">Beyond Agent-Regret<\/a>.
