<\/p>\nFaculty and Staff at Northern Arizona University want to make an impact. The faculty and staff on this list are interested and available to speak to community organizations or to facilitate discussions for those facing decisions with ethical implications.<\/p>\n

In the fall of 2022, we had two guest speakers come to talk about ethics in leadership.<\/p>\n
Cole<\/span>\u00a0honed his skills as a leader, motivator, and operations manager in the amusement park industry wrangling 150 teenagers each summer to try and give away big beautiful pieces of plush. He then set out on a journey to perfect his sales skills as a toy salesperson selling Unicorn Slime, Fart Spray, and Mermaid Poop.<\/p>\n Mike Loven is the Founder and CEO of Loven Contracting, a Flagstaff, AZ-based general contracting firm servicing clients across the state of Arizona. For over 37 years, Mike has provided leadership for projects across a wide range of industry sectors with a focus on government agencies, and highly technical healthcare and energy infrastructure projects. Through diligent mentorship and a deliberate program for leadership development, Loven Contracting is an energetic and successful firm with minorities, veterans, and women comprising over 40% of the diverse employee owner group.<\/p>\n Mike is responsible for the establishment of the Loven Contracting Philanthropic Program and his belief in the value of active citizenship drives community involvement within Loven Contracting. Loven Contracting benefits over 30 local philanthropic programs, and the Loven Contracting management team members provide leadership via board memberships, commission appointments, and volunteer efforts across the communities where they work.<\/p>\n Currently, Mike is the President of the Board of Directors for the Coconino County Industrial Development Authority and a board member for both the Raymond Foundation and Northern Arizona Leadership Alliance.<\/p>\n In the Department of Education, she is an expert in being a moderator for discussions on ethics. Her speech specifically focused on Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.<\/p>\n Focusing on Leadership; Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Professor McAllister is in the W.A. Franke College of Business and is a leader in the institute.<\/p>\n Also part of the institute, Julie Piering works in the philosophy department with a specialization in leadership and being a moderator for the discussions on ethics.<\/p>\n George Rudebusch works in the philosophy department with a specialization in leadership Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.<\/p>\n In Comparative Cultural Studies, Gioia Woods is a moderator for the discussions on ethics.<\/p>\n In the W.A. He was also awarded the title of “Kansas City’s Best Boss” in 2011.<\/div>\n<\/div>\nCole<\/span>\u00a0combined his passion of public speaking, song writing, video editing, and champion air guitar skills to take on the world of leadership, training, and enablement to help people love what they do and build a career around it!<\/div>\n
