Associate Professor Blue Brazelton- Department of Educational Leadership
Blue Brazelton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Texas Tech University, a Masters of Science in Education in College Student Personnel from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education from Michigan State University. As an experienced Student Affairs Professional, he has had the honor of serving students in various roles at Northern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University, Texas State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Louisville.
He currently also serves as a Fellow for the Master Educator Course, a unique program that trains United States Army ROTC Cadre in the work navigating higher education and of serving college students. Since the Summer of 2017, he has led and instructed 9 different cohorts of Army Officers and NCOs to effectively lead their college ROTC programs.
His research primarily focuses on minoritized student groups, technology in higher education, and United States community and two-year colleges and is published in many of our field’s research and scholarly journals. He is especially concerned about the ways that colleges and universities select and implement new technologies and the interaction with faculty, students, staff, and stakeholders.
