Assistant Professor Charn McAllister – The W.A. Franke College of Business
Charn McAllister is an Assistant Professor of Management and the Director of the NAU Institute for Public & Professional Ethics in Leadership. Charn’s research, focused primarily on interpersonal mistreatment, political skill, and workplace stress, has been published in multiple outlets, including Harvard Business Review, MIT’s Sloan Management Review, and the Journal of Business Ethics among others. Before beginning his academic career, Charn flew the Kiowa Warrior scout reconnaissance helicopter and commanded two Air Cavalry Troops both in and out of combat. He served as the liaison to the Iraqi Air Force and coordinated the first joint helicopter flight over Baghdad between U.S. and Iraqi forces. Charn completed his military service at the rank of captain; his military awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and Air Medal. Charn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point, his Master of Arts in Humanities from American Military University, and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Florida State University.
