Senior Lecturer Meredith Heller – Women’s and Gender Studies

Meredith Heller is a Senior Lecturer in the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and Queer Studies Minor. She designs and teaches courses that explore ethical concerns regarding human behavior, communication, and citizenship. Her Feminist Theories course also investigates the ethics of canonizing certain people and texts as “essential reading.” Her research, which explores drag and other forms of gender variance, proposes that how we define and describe queer people and their expressions is a key ethical consideration.
