The focus of NAU’s Analytics and Assessment office within Enrollment Management
Enrollment Management Analytics and Assessment develops tools for strategic analysis, monitors key enrollment indicators, and conducts meaningful analysis regarding recruitment, enrollment, and persistence to inform decisions, operations, and goals. Analysts provide a range of activities from simple data aggregation to complex statistical analysis in support of University operations and Enrollment Management functions. Key responsibilities of EM Analytics and Assessment include:
- Develop processes for collecting and analyzing data to support the development of short and long term enrollment, recruitment, and persistence strategies.
- Use inferential and descriptive statistical techniques to analyze data and produce information on enrollment, student characteristics, academic performance, degree programs, market competitors, etc.
- Interpret, communicate, and apply results of data analysis to inform day to day enrollment management functions.
A collaborative, consultative approach is foundational to the Analytics and Assessment Office. Thus, the team works closely with divisional and university partners to identify and measure outcomes, provide training, refine analytical techniques/methods, and engage in the application of findings to improve practice, policy, services, and programs.
