Supporting workforce development

NAU’s Business and Educational Partnerships team works with organizations across Arizona and beyond to support workforce development through flexible, accessible education pathways. We partner with businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and school districts to design solutions that support organizational goals and employee growth.

Our focus is on creating clear pathways for employees to earn credentials that support career advancement while continuing to work. Programs are designed to be practical and relevant, allowing individuals to build skills and make steady progress without stepping away from their roles.

We offer a range of partnership models, with a strong focus on custom, for-credit cohort programs. These practitioner-led cohorts are developed collaboratively and can be tailored in format, timeline, and content. In addition, we offer tuition reduction programs and non-credit training opportunities. Our approach emphasizes flexibility, real-world application, and long-term value, ensuring programs are accessible and directly aligned with workforce needs.

As part of NAU’s Workforce Development efforts, we are focused on expanding access to education, strengthening talent pipelines, and supporting organizations in building and retaining a skilled workforce.
