Eat to Succeed<\/h2>\n

The dining experience is an important part of campus life. Meal times provide opportunities for you to connect with friends, stay healthy, boost your energy, and unwind after a long day. First-year students living on campus must purchase one of the unlimited, weekly, or blended meal plans listed below.<\/p>\n

Special Note for Incoming Freshman<\/h2>\n

Starting your\u00a0first year\u00a0strong means\u00a0fueling up\u00a0right, which is why all first-year students living on campus are set up with a\u00a0<\/span>required meal plan as part of their housing package.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0For on-campus housing that is not managed by NAU (eg.\u00a0Hilltop, The Suites, etc.) meal plans are also part of your\u00a0first-year\u00a0lease agreement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your meal plan is part of your full-year housing contract, so once you sign (or start using your plan)\u00a0you’re\u00a0covered for the entire academic year.\u00a0\u00a0One less thing to think about each semester.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If a different plan ends up fitting your routine better, you can still switch\u00a0changes that\u00a0are allowed through September 4, 2026, for fall and January 22, 2027, for spring.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s\u00a0a\u00a0perk\u00a0that goes straight back into your pocket:<\/span>\u00a0Dining\u00a0Dollars that\u00a0come with your meal plan\u00a0are completely tax-free<\/span><\/b>. Flagstaff’s combined sales tax on food and dining purchases runs almost 11%,\u00a0one of the highest rates in all of Arizona.\u00a0So,\u00a0every time you use Dining Dollars instead of pulling out a debit card,\u00a0you’re\u00a0automatically saving that 11% on your total. Over a semester of coffee runs, late-night snacks, and meals out with friends, that\u00a0adds\u00a0fast.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

2026-2027 Weekly, Unlimited, and Blended Plans<\/h3>\n

Weekly plans provide a number of meals (19, 14 or 10) each week resetting Sunday mornings while the Unlimited Plan<\/strong> allows access to the Hot Spot and the D\u00fcB Dining District as often as you like! Additionally, Dining Dollars<\/strong> are included in each meal plan to supplement the meals. The new Blended Plans<\/strong> include a weekly amount of meals (5 or 7), a block of meals to be used anytime, and also Dining Dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Plus, weekly and block plan meals may be used as a “Transfer Special”<\/strong> in more than 23 retail locations across campus as well as in the Hot Spot and the D\u00fcB Dining District. Unlimited Plan<\/strong> meals may be used in the Hot Spot and the D\u00fcB, but do not provide Transfer Special options in retail locations.<\/p>\n

Dining Dollars <\/strong>are built into each of the meal plans to expand your purchasing power across 27 Campus Dining locations including our campus markets.<\/p>\n\n
