{"id":144,"date":"2017-08-04T17:44:36","date_gmt":"2017-08-04T17:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nau.edu\/teaching-and-learning\/?page_id=144"},"modified":"2024-12-12T00:02:21","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T07:02:21","slug":"admission-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/department-teaching-learning\/admission-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Admission information<\/h1>\n<h2>What you need to know when applying to NAU&#8217;s Teaching &amp; Learning<\/h2>\n<p>Helpful information for students wishing to pursue degrees in education through Northern Arizona University&#8217;s Department of Teaching and Learning.<\/p>\n<h3>For undergraduates<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to applying to the university through <a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/admissions\/\">Undergraduate Admissions<\/a>, you must apply and be admitted to the college\u2019s teacher-education program before you take any education courses except EDF 200, EDF 301W, and ESE 380.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the program are accepted online February 1-15 and September 1-15 of every year. Paper copies will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<h4>Teacher education program orientation<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Flagstaff campus students<\/li>\n<li>Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education students are required to complete this online orientation as part of the application process.<\/li>\n<li>Statewide campus students \u2013 many of NAU&#8217;s statewide campuses require you to attend a local orientation. Contact your local advisor for details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>For graduate students<\/h3>\n<p>In general, to apply for admission, you must submit an application and official transcripts to Northern Arizona University&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/GradCol\/Admissions\/Application\/\">Office of Graduate and Professional Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Doctoral programs<\/h4>\n<p>The College of Education is pleased to announce that we now offer the PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Apply to this program through the <a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/GradCol\/Admissions\/Application\/\">Office of Graduate and Professional Studies<\/a>.
