This program seeks to increase the number of highly qualified secondary teachers with strong STEM content knowledge who teach in high-need school districts. Scholarships are for up to $26,724 per year ($13,362 per semester) and students can apply for the scholarship for up to two years.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Who Can Apply?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students in BSEd Mathematics or BSEd Science NAUTeach Program<\/li>\n<li>Students with at least junior-level status<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">US Citizens\/Permanent US residents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4><strong>Preference is given to:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exceptionally talented students who demonstrate academic merit through both cumulative GPA and content-based GPA <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who demonstrate financial need<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application consists of: (1) a Noyce application form that gathers demographic, scholastic, and other pertinent information; (2) a personal statement regarding the applicant\u2019s motivation for studying mathematics or science education, as well as his\/her\/their career goals; (3) a statement of financial need (i.e. FAFSA or statement from financial assistance office verifying level of unmet need); and (4) transcripts from NAU and other college-level institutions; documentation of progress toward degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Benefits of becoming a Noyce scholar include:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serving students in high-need schools<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support transitioning into teaching through a Bridge to Teaching program<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation in annual Noyce Summit<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inclusion in regional Noyce activities and professional development<\/span><\/li>\n<li>FREE Professional Development in Engineering Education as it applies to the mathematics and science classrooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Noyce Scholarship Program also includes an outreach\/partnership with CCC;
