{"id":1657,"date":"2020-01-17T09:31:35","date_gmt":"2020-01-17T16:31:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nau.edu\/psychological-sciences\/?p=1657"},"modified":"2020-01-17T16:23:44","modified_gmt":"2020-01-17T23:23:44","slug":"dr-ann-huffman-elected-chair-of-apa-board-of-convention-and-affairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/department-psychological-sciences\/dr-ann-huffman-elected-chair-of-apa-board-of-convention-and-affairs\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Ann Huffman Elected Chair of APA Board of Convention and Affairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ann Huffman, Ph.D., of the Department of Psychological Sciences, began her term as Chair of the Board of Convention Affairs of the American Psychological Association (APA) on January 1, 2020.\u00a0 Dr. Huffman has been a member of the Board since 2017 and was elected Chair in 2019.\u00a0 The Board is responsible for planning and executing the organization\u2019s annual convention, which last year welcomed\u00a0over 10,000 attendees from more than fifty countries.\u00a0\u00a0At the 2019 convention, the Board initiated \u201cPsych-Sciences in 3\u201d competition.
