The NAU Department of Philosophy houses four degree programs: Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy<\/a>, Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Law<\/a>, Minor in Philosophy<\/a>, and Minor in Classical Studies<\/a>. All of our programs can be paired with STEM or other Humanities-based majors or minors.<\/p>\n For all NAU students in and outside of our programs, we offer introductory courses such as Intro to Logic<\/a> and Philosophies of the World<\/a>, as well as more advanced courses like Environmental Ethics<\/a>, Decision Theory<\/a>, and Ethics and Disability<\/a>.<\/p>\n The department also sustains a faculty<\/a> versed in a variety of culturally relevant philosophical foci, including Feminist Philosophy, Philosophy of Race and Racism, and Latin American and Latinx Philosophy. The American Philosophical Association<\/a>, the Society for Mexican American Philosophy<\/a>, and the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities<\/a> are just a few of the professional philosophical organizations<\/a> our faculty are involved with.
