Graduate student Abbey Buckham is aspiring to preserve history, one photograph at a time.<\/p>\n

It all started with a cardboard box and an email. The email was from Bj\u00f6rn Krondorfer<\/a>, director of the Martin-Springer Institute<\/a>, which is focused on using the lessons of the Holocaust to help promote peace and tolerance. Krondorfer was looking for a graduate student to take on a project archiving an old box full of World War II photos. Abbey Buckham, who is working on a master\u2019s in history<\/a>, was intrigued.<\/p>\n
