Public history students routinely intern with and create public exhibits for the National Park Service, the Arizona Historical Society, Arizona State Parks, the Museum of Northern Arizona and Lowell Observatory. Our students write theses on the region, the country, and the world.<\/p>\n<p>All classes are taught in person and are small, guaranteeing close student-faculty relationships. <span data-ogsc=\"rgb(51, 51, 51)\" data-ogsb=\"white\">Many full-time graduate students receive some type of departmental funding. They <\/span>are also eligible for competitive teaching assistantships and department research grants for travel, research, and conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Our new accelerated 4+1 program allows top performing NAU undergraduates to enter the MA program in their junior year and complete a BA and MA in five years.<\/p>\n<!-- shortcode-right-column -->\n<div class=\"shortcode-right-column\" >\n    <div class=\"shortcode-right-column__container\">\n<h4>Big Changes are Coming to This Page!<\/h4>\n<h4>Our MA Program Plan will be changing in the Fall of 2024 to provide a more streamlined student experience. Unfortunately, the Fall 2024 NAU Catalogue will not be available until March 2024.
