Claudia Rodas<\/strong>\u00a0is an associate clinical professor in the College of Education, NAU alumna and statewide HSI advisor to the provost. She\u2019s also a mom, wife and educator who sat down with NAU Communications to share a little bit about herself.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tell me about a significant childhood memory and how it has impacted your life today.<\/span><\/b>\"Claudia<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

My father loved to read and tell stories. I remember our times reading together, going for walks\u00a0<\/span>and talking about our favorite books. From an early age, he told me that I would be the first to graduate from college and that he would do everything in his power to make it happen. I saw my father cry for the first time when he saw me wearing my undergraduate regalia. I know he was smiling in heaven when I was able to complete my Ph.D.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The road has not been easy<\/span>,<\/span> and there were times when I wanted to give up. No one outside my family supported my dreams, not even my teachers.
