The information below will help students pursuing degrees in criminology or criminal justice understand more about internships.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<div>Internships require:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>a minimum GPA:\n<ul>\n<li>cumulative GPA 3.0 overall, or<\/li>\n<li>3.0 in criminal justice course work, or<\/li>\n<li>permission of internship director<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>the completion of a minimum number of credit hours:\n<ul>\n<li>junior standing (completion of 60 hours or more) with at least 15 credit hours of criminal justice courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How credit hours count towards electives<\/h3>\n<p>A maximum of six credit hours may be applied to as criminal justice elective requirements and up to six additional credit hours my be applied to general electives.<\/p>\n<h3>Internship credit hour value<\/h3>\n<p>Approximately 50 hours of internship work is required for each credit hour of college credit.
