Because they typically do not require repayment, grants can be considered \u201cgift aid.\u201d Under certain circumstances (such as Return to Title IV), a portion of, or all, grant funds need to be repaid. Additionally, some grants require that certain criteria be met so the funds do not have to be repaid. Whether you are a resident or non-resident of Arizona, as an NAU student you might qualify for various grant awards.
