Graduate funding and research opportunities<\/h1>\n

Graduate research opportunities and professional development for CCJ students at\u00a0NAU<\/h2>\n

Criminology graduate students may apply to be scholars through the Institute for Translational Research Education (ITRE) in Adolescent Drug Abuse, a federally funded partnership between the University of South Florida and NAU\u2019s Center for Community Health and Engaged Research (CHER). Contact Dr. Brooke de Heer or Dr. Lynn Jones, or visit the CHER website<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

Northern Arizona University’s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies offers ongoing workshops and professional development opportunities<\/a> for graduate students. For more information about additional opportunities and resources, please visit the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies campus resources<\/a>\u00a0web page.<\/p>\n

Criminology and Criminal Justice faculty teaching in the graduate program are active scholars, and students may and earn course credit while they learn in a focused research environment. Students may discuss possible ideas for an independent study (CCJ 697) or enroll in graduate research hours (CCJ 685) upon approval of faculty.<\/p>\n\n
