CCS is pleased to announce the start of two new minors: Environmental Humanities and Medical Humanities!<\/p>\n
The environmental humanities minor prepares students to understand the cultural, ethical, and aesthetic dimensions of the natural world and environmental challenges. An interdisciplinary field, the environmental humanities combines traditional humanities disciplines like art, history, literature, and philosophy with scientific knowledge to help recognize, analyze, and ultimately solve current issues like pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Learn more here.<\/a><\/p>\n The Medical Humanities minor develops cultural literacies and competencies relative to a variety of health environments and patient populations. Students are equipped to understand and work effectively within diverse communities and professional settings across cultural and religious contexts. Coursework focuses on tools and strategies for building resilience in health environments and the ability to make humanistic connections among qualitative and quantitative health data.
