Her paper, \u201cI Pity the Country, I Pity the State\u201d: The Encamped, the de-Camped, and the Uniformed Through Lines\u201d sketched connections between labor camps, protest encampments, detention camps, and encampments of the displaced\/unhoused in the Americas through intersecting lines of extraction, militarism, securitization and climate change. Dr. Coleman also chaired the \u201cGuantanamo: What\u2019s Next?\/Human Rights: What to do?\u201d panel with former Guantanamo detainees: Moazzam Begg (<i>Enemy Combatant: My Imprisonment at Guantanamo, Bagram, and Kandahar<\/i>), Mohamedou Ould Slahi (<i>Guantanamo Diary<\/i>,\u00a0<i>The Mauritanian,\u00a0<\/i>and<i>\u00a0The Actual True Story of Ahmed and Zarga<\/i>), Mansoor Adayfi (<i>Don&#8217;t Forget us Here: Lost and Found at Guantanamo<\/i>), and Abdul Latif Nasser (Radio Lab &#8220;The Other Latif&#8221;), Sufiyan Barhoumi,<i>\u00a0<\/i>and CIA rendition and torture victim, Khalid al Masri.
