Award amount: up to $500<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lakeview United Methodist Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lakeview United Methodist Scholarship was established in 1984 for the purpose of providing scholarship support to a full-time <u>major or minor<\/u> in CCS who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in Comparative Study of Religions courses (REL) in CCS. No personal religious affiliation is required to apply for this scholarship.\u00a0Award amount: up to $1500<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lois Kellogg Duncan Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lois Kellogg Duncan Scholarship is awarded to a full-time student <u>majoring<\/u> in CCS who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in Comparative Cultural Studies and\/or Humanities courses (CCS, HUM, MST) in CCS. Award amount: up to $750<\/p>\n<h3>Application instructions<\/h3>\n<p>Students must be enrolled full-time to be eligible for CCS academic scholarships. Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.scholarshipuniverse.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nau.scholarshipuniverse.com<\/a> to submit your application and to find other scholarships that you may be eligible for.<\/p>\n<h3>Application deadline<\/h3>\n<p>The application will open in February 2025 and will close in March 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>Study abroad scholarships<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gary Kane Comparative Cultural Studies Study Abroad Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gary Kane (College of Arts and Letters graduate, 1969) Comparative Cultural Studies Study Abroad Scholarship was established in 2021 for the purpose of providing scholarship support to a full-time student pursuing a B.A. in Comparative Cultural Studies, BIS 90-30 Humanities, or a student pursuing a major in the College of Arts and Letters and a minor in a Comparative Cultural Studies program (ARH Art History, ASN Asian Studies, HUM Humanities, REL Comparative Study of Religions, or MST Museum Studies) enrolled in a semester or a year-long program through the Center for International Education at NAU in Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, or France. Applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Students enrolled in Interdisciplinary Global Programs are not eligible for this scholarship. After graduation they plan on gaining career experience as a Gallery and Events Assistant at the Coconino Center for the Arts and at the Clara M. Lovett Art Museum and then pursuing a graduate degree in art history at the University of Kansas. Joce recently gave the presentation &#8220;Coptic Tunics and Accessing God: The Historical Context and Significance of Dressing the Self with Christ in Byzantine Egypt&#8221; at the <a href=\"https:\/\/hawksites.newpaltz.edu\/2024arthistorystudentsymposium\/schedule\/\">SUNY New Paltz Undergraduate Art History Symposium<\/a> in April as well as served as a digital curatorial assistant on the project &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/ginoparin.org\/\">Gino Parin: A Complicated Life in Complicated Times<\/a>&#8221; for the Martin-Springer Institute.
