The home of Michelangelo\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Times',serif; color: black;\">David <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; color: black;\">and the birthplace of gelato, Tuscany boasts many treasures\u2014chief among them the millennia-old relationship between nature and culture<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Times',serif; color: black;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; color: black;\">\u00a0This 6-unit program explores that relationship as it&#8217;s embodied in Tuscany&#8217;s art, architecture, agriculture, and cuisine.\u00a0Together we will\u00a0study\u00a0environmental and cultural\u00a0sustainability from the\u00a0ancient\u00a0Etruscan Federation to the\u00a0contemporary European Union.\u00a0Students will live and study in\u00a0the beautiful medieval walled city of Siena. There, we\u00a0will investigate the city\u2019s natural heritage and centuries-old cultural traditions.
