The Department of Clinical Psychology<\/h1>\n

Our program strives to give you hands-on experience in supervised clinical settings, provide you with a curriculum based on a developmental, experiential training model that includes understanding theory, assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills. We prepare you to work with individuals, families, groups, schools, organizations, and agencies as well as offer courses delivered through a combination of in-person and supervised practice.<\/p>\n

The practitioner-scholar training approach promotes the optimal development of individuals, families, groups, and environmental systems using empirically supported, culturally sensitive interventions that include assessment and diagnosis, interdisciplinary teamwork, prevention, consultation, outcome evaluation, and ethical decision-making, in a broad array of settings including schools, universities, integrated healthcare, hospitals\/medical centers, community mental health, correctional facilities, and independent practice.<\/p>\n\n
