Launched in 2003, Spitzer contained infrared detectors of unprecedented sensitivity, providing astronomers a never-before-possible look at the universe.<\/p>\n<p>. . . <\/p>\n<p><strong>David Trilling<\/strong>, professor in Northern Arizona University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/department-astronomy-planetary-science\/\">Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science<\/a>, is the lead author of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41550-020-01221-y\">Spitzer\u2019s Solar System studies of asteroids, planets and the zodiacal cloud<\/a>,\u201d co-authored by NAU associate professor <strong>Joshua Emery<\/strong>.
