Lasers in Dental Hygiene\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Practice at the top of your scope! This 8 CEU hybrid course will prepare and certify the dental hygienist to use laser technology in their daily patient care. After completing 4 hours of online coursework followed by a 4 hour hands-on portion at the NAU Dental Hygiene Clinic, participants will have the foundational knowledge and experience to safely use lasers for a variety of procedures.\u00a0 Increase your knowledge, become more marketable, enhance your career.<\/p>\n

Local Anesthesia<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Meet Arizona\u2019s requirements for Local Anesthesia Licensure. This hybrid course will prepare and certify the dental hygienist for the local anesthesia board exam. This course is designed to meet the State of Arizona\u2019s Administrative Code for the teaching of administering local anesthesia and nitrous-oxide analgesia. First, students will take the online component which includes quizzes and exams; Second, students will arrange to come to our Dental Hygiene clinic in Flagstaff, Arizona with their patient on whom they will administer injections. After successful completion of this course, students will receive the required certificate to register for their local anesthesia board exam.<\/p>\n

Please note: The online portion of the Anesthesia CE is available year-round; however, the hands-on portion of the CE is only offered May 15th – August 15th . Both portions must be completed prior to receiving certification. Specific dates for 2021 courses will be announced at a later date.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
