We study early speech and language development in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are particularly interested in:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>the development of the sound system of language<\/li>\n<li>the development of vocabulary<\/li>\n<li>factors in a child\u2019s environment that might help his\/her language development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our goal is to use the information obtained to provide better services for young children with speech and language delay and their families.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Our work is funded by the National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders and by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The CSLL is under the direction of\u00a0<a title=\"Dr. Anna V.
