Study of Speech & Language Development
3-year-old children, both with typically developing speech and those with delays in speech development, participated in this study. We are interested in the relationship between speech and vocabulary development and whether or not this relationship might help us better predict which children may need intervention for speech sound disorders and which children may get better without therapy. We are not currently recruiting participants for this study.
Study of Language & Play
Babies between 10 and 16 months participated in this study of language and play. We are hoping to find out how play with different types of toys might influence the interaction between babies and their parents. We are not currently recruiting participants for this study.
Production Variability in Early Speech Development
When young children say a word, they often say it several different ways. We are interested in what this variability might tell us about the nature of children’s knowledge of the sound system of their language. We are also interested in the relationship between variability and other measures of language development. We are not currently recruiting participants for this study.
