Child Speech and Language Lab<\/h1>\n
The Child Speech and Language Lab (CSLL) is housed in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northern Arizona University. We study early speech and language development in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We are particularly interested in:<\/p>\n
\n
the development of the sound system of language<\/li>\n
the development of vocabulary<\/li>\n
factors in a child’s environment that might help his\/her language development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Our goal is to use the information obtained to provide better services for young children with speech and language delay and their families.<\/p>\n
We are not currently recruiting research participants.<\/p>\n
The CSLL is under the direction of Dr. Anna V. Sosa<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
