- The lab also studies bilingual children ages 4-6 who have or are at risk for developmental language disorder (DLD). The study involves testing children and teaching caregivers how to support Spanish vocabulary and language development in the home using science activities and words.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The lab is currently seeking study participants who are Spanish-English bilingual children ages 4-6 in the Flagstaff or Yuma areas of Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lindsey Hiebert, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor at Northern Arizona University and Director of the Bilingual Intervention and Language Learning (BILL) lab. She earned a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Delaware. Her research interests include dual language development, disorders, and intervention in bilingual preschool and school-age children, stemming from her extensive clinical work with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
