{"id":2395,"date":"2018-12-19T20:02:03","date_gmt":"2018-12-19T20:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/cpcesu\/?p=2395"},"modified":"2020-02-19T20:58:02","modified_gmt":"2020-02-19T20:58:02","slug":"boyd-evison-graduate-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/cpcesu\/boyd-evison-graduate-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"Boyd Evison Graduate Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOYD EVISON GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP FOR THE GREATER YELLOWSTONE ECOSYSTEM 2019 CALL\u2014APPLICATIONS DUE JANUARY 25, 2019<br \/>\nThe Grand Teton Association (GTA) offers a fellowship of up to $10,000\/project for graduate studies focused on documenting lesser-known aspects of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem&#8211;Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway, and surrounding lands. Projects that cover multiple parks or cross jurisdictions are encouraged. The fellowship especially seeks to advance studies of ecosystem elements such as air and water; geologic elements and processes; plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians, fungi; and social science related to public understanding of natural resources use or management. Projects may extend over several seasons, and must comply with appropriate agency regulations and permits (separately administered from this fellowship). Application forms can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/uwnps.org\/\">https:\/\/uwnps.org\/<\/a>.<br \/>\n<!--more-->Graduate students pursuing a Master\u2019s or Doctoral degree are invited to submit proposals to be judged on the following:<br \/>\nThe value of information to be gained by the scientific community and resource managers<br \/>\nTechnical soundness, clarity of problem definition, and uniqueness of the proposed study<br \/>\nQualifications of the student and their major advisor\/institution,<br \/>\nHow the researcher will provide results and outreach to resource managers and interested public, and a\u00a0 Budget clearly indicating the total project costs, including other contributions in addition to this fellowship; GTA is a charitable entity and does not fund indirect costs for the fellowship; 100% of the awarded amount must be used for the project as outlined. <strong>Proposals for which the fellowship would provide a major portion of a new or recently begun study receive higher consideration.<br \/>\n<\/strong>Applications must be postmarked by January 25, 2019.<br \/>\nSend to: Boyd Evison Graduate Fellowship, Grand Teton Association,<br \/>\nP.O.
