\nProject Title:<\/strong> Fort Drum Conservation Education
\nResponses to this Request for Statements of Interest will be used to identify potential
\ninvestigators for a project to be funded by Fort Drum which provides professional and technical
\nsupport for its Conservation Program in order to facilitate successful implementation of
\nenvironmental outreach programming. Approximately $104,350 is expected to be available to
\nsupport this project. Additional funding may be available for follow on work in subsequent
\nfiscal years to the successful Recipient\/Awardee.
\nNote:<\/strong> Must be a non-federal partner in the CESU Unit to be qualified to be considered.
\nBrief Description of Anticipated Work:<\/strong>
\nThis research focuses on the following objectives:
\n1) Objective 1: Develop, implement, and test outreach, education, and training initiatives to
\nincrease cooperation throughout the Fort Drum community in terms of environmentally
\nfriendly behavior and to make every effort to insure that all members of the Fort Drum
\ncommunity understand the environmental requirements associated with responsible
\nmanagement of federal land and a US Army Garrison.
\n2) Objective 2: Create and\/or revise press releases, pamphlets, newsletters, brochures and flyers
\nfor environmental division and installation environmental news.
\n3) Objective 3: Coordinate and\/or assist in coordinating special events (e.g., Arbor Day, Maple
\nDays, Earth Day, Environmental Division Civilian of Quarter Luncheon, Fishing Derby,
\nFort Drum Outdoor Adventure Day, National Public Lands Day and Native American
\nMonth).
\n4) Objective 4: Develop and\/or provide support for presentations, videos, and\/or posters for
\nprofessional educational events, workshops, special events, and other Environmental
\nDivision requirements.
\n5) Objective 5: Coordinate and\/or participate in outreach programming related to the Fort
\nDrum Environmental Division. These activities may include but are not limited to
\nguiding field trips, speaking to school groups and community organizations, and
\ndeveloping outreach materials and displays. These activities also include management of
\nEnvironmental Division Social Media.
\n6) Objective 6: Collect and assimilate data, and create Environmental Division Award
\nPackages for Department of Defense Awards if directed by the Environmental Division
\nChief.
\n7) Objective 7: Collect and analyze data related to outreach measures as compared with
\nevidence of environmentally conscious behavior across the installation.
\n8) Objective 8: Provide designs for and copy ready examples of pamphlets, videos, brochures
\nand other outreach materials and displays to the Fort Drum Environmental Division and
\nwork to insure that the Environmental Division social media presence is current.
\nNOTE:<\/strong> At this time we are only requesting that you demonstrate available qualifications and
\nskills for performing similar or same type of work. You will be evaluated for request for a
\nproposal based on skills and qualifications demonstrated in your SOI.
