To the faculty and staff who serve our students throughout Arizona, thank you for helping all of today’s graduates realize their goals.

We have all been looking forward to this day— a day to celebrate together with family, friends, and mentors in Flagstaff at the Skydome. This moment is the perfect time to recognize the accomplishments of our extraordinary students, to celebrate the richness and vitality of our university community, and to reflect on all
that our Lumberjacks do to enrich and give back to the communities they represent.

The degrees we confer today are the result of years of determination, hard work, and perseverance. In your time at NAU, your talent has been met with opportunity, you have pursued meaningful educational experiences that will lead to careers of consequence, and you have cultivated a spirit of inquiry and engagement that will fuel lives of purpose. You’ve all worked hard to earn your degree and are now prepared to make a difference in our world. NAU has given you the skills, knowledge and innovative mindset to thrive in a society that is always changing.
