Earn both your Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the same time. NAU partners with community colleges across Arizona to offer flexible CEP pathways for statewide students. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEP is a true concurrent program, meaning you finish your community college and NAU nursing courses simultaneously. Enjoy a hands-on summer \u201cjump start\u201d with our experienced faculty members, and get connected with your community of learners. Upon graduating from both programs, you can get licensed and apply for employment as a registered nurse (RN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tracks\">Tracks for community college nursing students: CEP and mid-AAS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a CEP student, you follow the traditional course of study for an AAS in nursing at an Arizona community college. At the same time, you\u2019ll be enrolled in required NAU BSN courses (offered in online and hybrid formats, with hybrid courses held at partner locations around the state). There are two tracks, depending on whether you have already started nursing coursework at your community college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cep\">CEP track: students who have not started nursing courses<\/h3>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-true-blue \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<h4>CEP eligibility requirements<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Be accepted into the nursing program at your community college (for students who have not completed the second semester or block of nursing courses\u2014if you have, skip down to the mid-AAS track).<\/li>\n<li>Complete all community college and NAU nursing prerequisite requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 in certain courses.<\/li>\n<li>Register for and attend a CEP information session with your community college.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n\n    \n\n<\/section>\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-gold \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<h4>Apply with your community college<\/h4>\n<h4><!-- \/wp:heading --> <!-- wp:list --><\/h4>\n<ul id=\"block-f87b0e9a-39dd-45b9-8193-b5047a40c8e3\">\n<li>While we encourage you to reach out to NAU to learn about scholarship options and how to be the best candidate for CEP, the actual application is done with your community college.<\/li>\n<li>Attend a Nursing CEP information session at your community college, where you will learn about the application process.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to monitor your email for a notice of acceptance with the final steps to the process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n\n    \n\n<\/section>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mid-aas\">Mid-AAS track: students who are already in nursing courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are already in nursing courses should apply for the RN to BSN <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/college-nursing\/undergraduate-degrees-programs\/rn-bs-nursing\/\" data-type=\"URL\">Option for Registered Nurses<\/a> degree program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to State Boards of Nursing and other legal requirements, students living in AL, TN, or WA are not eligible, nor are we permitted to allow students to complete the program if they relocate to one of these states.<\/p>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-true-blue \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <h4>Admission requirements<\/h4>\n<ul id=\"block-3b6bf200-85a5-4659-97bb-29e5422467ce\" class=\"block-editor-rich-text__editable block-editor-block-list__block wp-block is-selected rich-text\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"group\" contenteditable=\"true\" aria-multiline=\"true\" aria-label=\"Block: List\" data-block=\"3b6bf200-85a5-4659-97bb-29e5422467ce\" data-type=\"core\/list\" data-title=\"List\">\n<li>Complete your 2nd semester (or block) at a regionally accredited nursing AAS program.<\/li>\n<li>Have no more than three (3) deficient non-nursing courses, including liberal studies, diversity requirements, and preprofessional courses.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in preprofessional coursework.
