Available at our Flagstaff and North Valley campuses, the program is an intensive, year-round learning experience. This fast-paced program can be completed in just 12 months, with courses that build upon each other for a seamless journey into nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduates of the Accelerated BSN program are eligible to take the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.azbn.gov\/nursing-programs\/arizona-nclex-pass-rates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Council Licensing Examination<\/a>\u00a0(NCLEX-RN) for licensure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Completion of all prerequisite courses with a C or higher (you may have the courses in progress in the semester you are applying). All prerequisite courses must be completed by the first day of the program.<\/li><li>A minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in prerequisite courses.&nbsp;Please note that the minimum GPA of 3.0 does not guarantee admission to the program.&nbsp;Most successful applicants have a GPA well above 3.0.<\/li><li>Proctored HESI A2 Exam.&nbsp;The exam results will be used as part of the process of screening and ranking applicants (results will be downloaded by the College of Nursing).<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Incomplete applications&nbsp;<strong><em>will not<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;be considered for admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A<strong>ccelerated means a full-time commitment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of its accelerated format, the program requires a full-time commitment. While you are enrolled in this program, we expect that you will not work more than 16 hours per week and that you will refrain from work commitments for at least 8 hours before class or clinicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must travel to sites throughout the state for clinical coursework and will be responsible for travel and lodging expenses. Be aware that clinical experiences may involve several weeks of 3\u20135 days per week at statewide sites. Please plan your family and work commitments accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarships are available<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuition scholarships may be available to individuals pursuing the accelerated BSN. This scholarship applies to outstanding tuition and fees after all federal, state, institutional, and private grants and scholarships are awarded.
