Northern Arizona University is proud to announce a $100,000 endowed gift from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a national organization renowned for its dedication to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. This transformative gift establishes the Katherine Hudson Dilley Scholarship Fund, which will provide enduring support for graduate students in NAU\u2019s Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning in fall 2026, the endowed fund will yield approximately $4,000 annually, offering critical financial assistance to one deserving graduate student each year. Recipients must maintain good academic standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scholarship honors the legacy of Katherine Hudson Dilley, a former State Regent (State President) of the Arizona State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Vice-President General of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Born in Farmersville, Texas, and descended from Andrew Boyd, a Patriot and surveyor from Virginia, Mrs. Dilley embodied the ideals of the DAR through her commitment to education and patriotism. After relocating to Arizona, she dedicated herself to fostering opportunities for youth, emphasizing the importance of education and civic engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This extraordinary gift highlights the DAR\u2019s enduring commitment to advancing educational opportunities in Arizona and reflects Mrs. Dilley\u2019s vision of empowering students to succeed. By reducing financial barriers, the Katherine Hudson Dilley Scholarship Fund will enable students to focus on their studies and pursue meaningful careers in healthcare, addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in Physical and Occupational Therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarship funds may be applied to eligible costs, including tuition, fees, room, board, transportation, books, and other educational expenses not covered by other aid, excluding loans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
