College of Engineering receives a new name after impactful donation

Thanks to the generosity of Maria and Steve Sanghi, the name of the College of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences will now be changed to the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering. The Sanghi’s $10 million gift is the largest of its kind in NAU’s 125-year history and will make a lasting impact for the College, opening doors for talented students to prepare for careers of purpose, including Arizona’s booming semiconductor industry… Read more

Skills for a New World

Computer science professor Ashish Amresh is working to empower Native American educators to teach the language of code. The National Science Foundation awarded more than $1.3 million to NAU and partnering institutions to address the challenges of teaching computer science in Arizona’s rural and tribal communities. SCE unveils robotics degree for the future

In the last decade, robots have successfully broken out of the sci-fi genre and secured indispensable roles in manufacturing, healthcare and aeronautics. To ensure Arizona has plenty of mechanical engineers ready to design, develop and deploy these robots, NAU’s College of Engineering introduced the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering degree program in Fall 2023, comprised of state-of-the-art technology training and real-world problem-solving.
