The Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) at Northern Arizona University’s Microelectronics Processing, Characterization, & Testing (MPCT) Center is a state-of-the-art facility advancing innovation in microelectronics and nanotechnology. By integrating advanced materials characterization, microscopy, electrical analysis, and microfabrication, the center provides complete research workflows from atomic-scale discovery to device manufacturing.

This unique ecosystem accelerates breakthroughs in semiconductors, energy technologies, sensors, and photonics, transforming discoveries into market-ready solutions with speed and precision.

Research and cutting-edge tools

MPCT can accelerate innovation with access to specialized tools:

  • Microscopy: SEM, TEM + electron holography, optical imaging Lorem ipsum dolor
  • Spectroscopy: Ellipsometry, UV/Vis, PL, XRD, SIMS
  • Prototyping: optical and electron-beam lithography, PCB manufacturing, die/wire bonding
  • Metrology: I-V/C-V, Hall Effect, Seebeck/Peltier
