 \n\n<p>Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/college-education\/student-experience\/arizona-teachers-academy\/\">Arizona Teachers Academy<\/a> you can receive a tuition-free, high-quality education that prepares you for a successful teaching career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your responsibilities as an Arizona Teachers Academy student:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be admitted in an ATA-eligible teacher education or dual enrollment pathway program at NAU.<\/li><li>Maintain <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-of-scholarships-and-financial-aid\/satisfactory-academic-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\">good academic standing<\/a> at NAU.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid<\/a> (FAFSA) for each year enrolled at NAU.<\/li><li>Graduate from an eligible ATA degree program. (Graduates are given a one-year grace period to fulfill their teaching commitment)<\/li><li>Teach in an Arizona public school after graduation (district, charter, or Bureau of Indian Education school located in Arizona) each year you receive an ATA Scholarship.<a class=\"anchor-tag\" name=\"Howtoparticipate\"><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation in the Arizona Teachers Academy at NAU is first come, first served for students who complete all eligibility requirements, up to the allowable funding provided by the state. We cannot guarantee that all students will receive a scholarship since it is always possible that we will have more eligible participants than we have funds to be disbursed. If funds run out, consider applying to the <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/types-aid\/grants\/federal-teach-grant\/\">Federal TEACH Grant.<\/a> The<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/college-education\/student-experience\/arizona-teachers-academy\/frequently-asked-questions\/\"> FAQ page under General Information<\/a> suggests additional scholarship options for current and future teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to participate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete the following steps to be eligible to participate in the Arizona Teachers Academy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be admitted in an eligible Arizona Teachers Academy degree program at any campus or location.<\/li><li>Have a current <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/northern-arizona-college-resource-center\/fafsa\/\" target=\"_blank\">FAFSA<\/a><strong> <\/strong>on file.&nbsp;If selected for verification, your file must be verified.<\/li><li>Submit the Arizona Teachers Academy Agreement form, which will be available in your <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/louie\/\" target=\"_blank\">LOUIE portal<\/a> on the to do list, after the two items above are completed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have successfully completed these steps, NAU will process your agreement.
