Please be sure to check that you are also applying for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/office-of-scholarships-and-financial-aid\/nau-foundation-scholarships\/\"><strong>NAU Foundation scholarships<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;or other&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/Finaid\/Aid-Types\/Scholarships\/\"><strong>scholarships offered by the university<\/strong><\/a>. Scholarship applications open in January each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"process\">Scholarship application process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Confirm your student data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is basic information about you that will automatically populate based on the information you have provided to the Registrar&#8217;s Office and on your Financial Aid form.<strong>&nbsp;You are responsible for reviewing this information to be sure it is correct.&nbsp;<\/strong>If you notice any incorrect or blank fields, please log in to LOUIE and make corrections. If you see information that cannot be changed via LOUIE, please contact us&nbsp;by <a href=\"mailto:COEScholarship.Dev@nau.edu\"><strong>email<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complete the information sections for COE scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Responses are evaluated primarily based on content and insight rather than writing style alone. Authentic, thoughtful responses are valued over polished or formulaic writing. Use of generative AI tools to draft or substantially revise responses is not permitted. Applicants are expected to proofread grammar and spelling and submit clear, professional responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Honors, Recognition, or Notable Milestones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please list up to five honors, awards, recognitions, certifications, or significant milestones you have achieved. These may be academic, professional, community-based, or personal (e.g., Dean\u2019s List, workplace recognition, licensure or certifications, select scholarships or competitive awards, promotions, or other accomplishments you are proud of).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each item, please include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 the name or brief description of the honor or milestone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 the approximate date received (month\/year or year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 the context in which it was earned (academic, professional, community, or personal)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not all applicants will have formal honors or awards; this section may be brief or left blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Engagement, Service, and Community Contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Describe one to three significant ways you have been involved beyond your required coursework through organizations, service, or community engagement. If you notice any incorrect or blank fields, you can return to that portion of the application and make any changes you would like. If your application looks complete and correct, you will verify this and move on to the next step. This includes, but is not limited to, your application information (r\u00e9sum\u00e9, letter, etc.), GPA, year in school, financial need, and major. Additionally, should you be selected to receive a scholarship, the donor may request updates on your progress at NAU including GPA, classes taken, and financial need.
