The first year is dedicated to business foundation courses and the second year covers MBA curriculum. With NAU\u2019s accelerated program, students are required to complete business prerequisites prior to the start of the program. We work with each student individually to devise a prerequisite plan to meet program requirements.<\/p>\n                                                    <\/div>\n                                                \n                                                                                            <\/div>\n                                        <\/div>\n\n                                    \n                                \n                                                        <\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entrance exam requirement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The entrance GRE\/GMAT exam requirement will be waived for applicants of any major with a GPA of 3.25 or higher from an accredited university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have been out of school for several years and have work experience, we may also waive the GRE\/GMAT requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission considerations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The NAU Graduate College requires that applicants have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 out of a 4.00 scale for their bachelor&#8217;s degree to be considered for regular admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MBA Admissions Committee takes a holistic approach to candidate evaluation by considering academic ability and potential, communication and interpersonal skills, relevant professional experience, and motivation to pursue professional and career success. No particular undergraduate major is necessary for students applying to the MBA program. Instead, as a candidate, you must demonstrate competency in background business subjects if you do not have a foundational business background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Core courses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The MBA program consists of 30 credits. In addition, the accounting emphasis courses provide necessary information, support, and guidelines for studying for the CPA exam. The advanced audit and tax classes are structured specifically for the AUD and REG sections of the CPA exam. Graduate assistants perform vital teaching, research, and service duties to their program and earn a stipend for their work.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">To be awarded a graduate assistantship, students must be full-time, graduate degree-seeking students, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. \u202fStudents that are conditionally admitted to a graduate program due to a GPA below 3.0 upon admission are not eligible to receive a graduate assistantship.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">All graduate assistants with an appointment of 10 or more hours per week are considered residents for tuition purposes during the term of appointment.
