Each club began with curiosity, passion, or a vision for something more. Getting involved is an opportunity to connect with others, explore leadership, and make a meaningful impact. NAU\u2019s student organizations reflect the passions and purposes of our students. If your idea doesn\u2019t exist yet, we\u2019re here to help you bring it to life!<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Every student organization must meet the following requirements to be recognized by NAU &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/203\/NOR-Checklist-Guide-2026-2027.pdf\">NOR Checklist Guide &#8211; 2026-2027<\/a>:\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure new organization idea does not duplicate another organization<\/li>\n<li>Full name of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Membership of 5 currently enrolled students\n<ul>\n<li>To align with the educational and remedial intent of the NAU student\/organizational conduct process, no officers and\/or other named individuals within a recognized student organization found to be responsible in an organizational conduct proceeding may form a new organization until the sanctions have been completed. Related, the Lumberjack CoLAB Center may request a roster from a prospective organization to compare membership to organizations not in good disciplinary standing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two<\/strong> officers (at least)\n<ul>\n<li>must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits at NAU (exception provided to graduate students)<\/li>\n<li>must have at least a 2.00 cumulative GPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>two<\/strong> officers to be added to our Microsoft Teams channel<\/li>\n<li>Active full-time NAU faculty\/staff advisor<\/li>\n<li>Updated constitution\/bylaws with a non-discrimination statement, process for removing a member\/officer, compliance statement, and contingency statement\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/203\/Constitution-Checklist-Guide-2026-2027.pdf\">Constitution Checklist Guide &#8211; 2026-2027<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Process<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit the application to start a new organization through <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/clubs\">True Blue Connects<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>Follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/203\/Steps-for-Registering-a-New-Student-Organization-Guide.pdf\">step-by-step guide<\/a> to filling out the application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The CoLAB team will review your submission to ensure all requirements are met<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an email once the submission has been reviewed and all requirements are met.
