Tom Acker is the director of the Institute for Sustainable Energy Solutions. He has spent the last 16 years teaching Mechanical Engineering at Northern Arizona University. His recent research focus has been on wind power integration, wind flow modeling via mesoscale and micro-scale (CFD) methods, wind assessment, water/energy projects, Native American applications of renewable energy, and agricultural/energy projects. Through his many years of experience, Dr. Acker provides leadership and guidance to graduate and undergraduate students and staff on their own research for the institute.
