Mohave County has been the site of a number of very large proposed solar and wind projects, including a 500-MW wind project developed by BP and permitted by the BLM, and more than 500 MW of concentrating solar power capacity proposed by two developers. According to the County, it appears that none of these three large projects are likely to go forward, although they are still officially under development and there are a number of other projects already operating in the county.
