The Senior Companion Program (SCP), part of AmeriCorps Seniors, is a service initiative for people age 55 or older to provide assistance and friendship to other older, homebound individuals. Senior Companions provide the services that the older adults need to live independently, including:<\/p>\n
Nearly 90 percent of clients said their Senior Companions help them remain living in their own homes and they are more satisfied with their lives as a result.<\/p>\n
In addition to the opportunity to make a difference, our Senior Companions receive:<\/p>\n
